The Subtle Knife
by: Philip Pullman

This book is wonderful, i already read the first one and it was great, one of my new favorites. the series is about a girl named Lyra who lives at a college because her parents supposedly died in some sort of accident, basically she goes on a trip to the north with some boat-gypsies, falls in love with an armored bear, and finds out that her father is building a bridge to another world. The second book is from the point of view of a boy from not Lyra's world or the one that her father built a bridge to but yet another one, pretty much present day London. These books are excellent and I recommend them to anyone who... actually really anyone who likes to read. As I'm sure anyone on the site does.

Long Time no see
So much has happened and I'm still exhausted so I won't be able to write very much, but I'll try. We have become stranded on the island that the captain had to stop at! I finally found my journal, it washed ashore with some of my other belongings. well, this was actually the only useful thing, I found some perfume, and all of my hair ribbons, and thankfully, a pen. we have been wandering aimlessly More...
